Mardi Himal Trek

Mardi Himal Trekking is newly opened trekking trial which offers unspoiled natural beauty and unexplored off beaten trials. Mardi Himal (5,578m) is remaining as a hidden treasure & unseen gem in the Annapurna Region. The trail of this spectacular trek commences from Phedi to Dhampus and then forest camp–low camp and elevated to high camp to Mardi Base Camp. Mardi Himal Trek passes through enchanting traditional villages, green forest, mountain streams, rivers, suspension bridges, terraced cultivated land & diverse landscapes.

Mardi Himal Trekking is an amazing, pleasant and rejuvenating experience because of cultural-natural diversity, the less crowd en-route, magnificent Annapurna massif, species of wildlife, varieties of flora and fauna, and rhododendron forests. Day 1
Day 1: Arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport & transfer to Hotel

As you arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, a Hike Manaslu representative will be there for your warm welcome and will escort to your hotel. In evening you will having a welcome dinner with our staff in one of the typical Nepali restaurants at Thamel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2
Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and trip Preparation Day

A full day sightseeing is dedicated to explore some of the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Sites in Kathmandu Valley. Exploration of Soyambhunath- The Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and historical Kathmandu Durbar Square are the places sightseeing offers.

Day 3
Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara

Travel to Pokhara overland following Trishuli River bank (6 hours) or take 30 minutes spectacular flight to get Pokhara. In Pokhara you can enjoy walking around to explore wonderful city with lakes. O/N.

Day 4
Day 4: Pokhara to Ghandruk

Early in the morning have breakfast at Pokhara Hotel and get ready for Ghandruk. We drive to Nayapul then we start to trek Gandruk. From Ghandruk we can explore the Annapurna south 7219 meters, Himchuli, Machhapurche, gangapurna etc himalyan ranges from different corner. Overnight stay in Gandruk.

Day 5
Day 5: Trek from Ghandruk to Deurali (2080m/6824 ft)

We set off from Ghandruk early in the morning after having breakfast at Lodge. It will takes around 5-6 hours to reach Deurali. During the journey we cross the off beaten path which might be technical for those who are not familiar with hilly region. Overnight at Lodge/hotel.

Day 6
Day 6: Trek from Deurali to Forest Camp (2520m / 8268 ft.)

Annapurna and South with Hiunchuli. This includes Annapurna I, II, III, IV, and Lamjung Himal are the mighty Himalayan range we can see during this day`s trip.

A slow walk leads to our overnight stop in the middle of a woodland. There few lodges wait for you with a warm meal and a cozy beds. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 7
Day 7: Trek from Forest Camp to High Camp (3700m/ 12139 ft)

After a pleasant overnight stop, morning walk proceeds towards upper and higher ridgeline of Mardi Himal. As the walk progresses we leave behind the tall tree lines and lush vegetation for alpine shrubs and dwarf rhododendron bushes.

This wonderful area offers great views of surrounding hills and landscapes with high snow-clad mountains as the walk approaches closer to Mardi Himal. We also get to catch a glimpse of towering Mt. Machhapuchhre Himal.

Day 8
Day 8: Explore Mardi Himal Base Camp (4300m/ 14108 ft)

This day will be the highlight of the trek for sure. We will start early in the morning before sunrise. It will be dark so carrying a torch would be a smart idea. The trial is quite challenging as the elevation keeps rising.

We will first reach the Lower Viewpoint. From here itself you will be able to watch the mountains. We will be walking on top of the hill and towards your left, you will be able to see the Annapurna Range and towards your right, you will witness Mount Fishtail.

We will then reach the Upper viewpoint from where you will get an amazing view of the mountains as you float above the clouds. We will finally reach the Mardi Base Camp situated at an altitude of 4500 meters.

From here you can catch the view of some of the popular mountain ranges. This includes Annapurna South (7,219m), Hiunchuli (6,441), Annapurna I (8,091m), Khangsar Kang (7,485m), Gangapurna (7,454m), Machhapuchhre (6,993m) and Mardi Himal (5,553min).

Day 9
Day 9: Trek from High Camp to Forest Camp (2520m/ 8268 ft)

After successfully reaching to the Mardi Himal Base camp we start to descend Forest Camp for Overnight.

Day 10
Day 10: Trek from Forest Camp to Phedi (1130m / 3707 ft.) and drive to Pokhara

Today is another wonderful adventure after being on hidden trails of Annapurna area, where few trekkers venture, morning walk leads on the trail following Mardi River. We then reach on a wide valley with more warmer areas with farm villages and rice paddy terraces.

Day 11
Day 11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel

Travel back to Kathmandu by a scenic drive or take a spectacular flight. Do some last minutes shopping in Thamel. In evening join farewell dinner with Hike Manaslu staffs.

Day 12
Day 12: Final Departure | Other Travel Plan

A Hike Manaslu representative will accompany you to Tribhuvan International Airport to catch returning flight. Hope to see you again in Nepal. Namaste.
